Fans of the wizarding world prepare yourselves as Harry Potter returns in AR form – and the game’s soundtrack already sounds epic.

The Harry Potter: Wizards Unite official trailer has just been released – and we are as excited about the fact music from John Williams’ iconic film score makes an appearance in said trailer as we are about the game.

Niantic, developers of the augmented reality mobile game, made the surprise announcement on Twitter earlier today: “Keep your eyes peeled and wand ready for more information as the game goes live in your region soon.”

Further details of the plot will be coming soon, but the trailer hints at nifflers, flying snitches, dementors and plenty of wand action.

Previously, the game’s mini-trailer also included a poster displaying the text: ‘The Wizarding World is at risk of exposure — we need your help.’

A worldwide success story, J.K. Rowling’s hugely popular book series follows the adventures of Harry Potter, ‘The Boy Who Lived’, and his ongoing battle with arch rival Lord Voldemort.

Now, this latest offering from Niantic is causing a stir among readers and gamers alike, so it will surely be a hit.

And with the trailer’s dramatic orchestral score – featuring eerie strings, glissando harps, haunting vocals and bold crescendos from the brass, we can’t wait to hear more of the soundtrack.

The music for the trailer concludes with Williams’ unmistakeable celesta theme, adding a touch of nostalgia and leaving us in suspense for the adventures that await.
