To celebrate Father’s Day, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle shared an adorable image of their firstborn.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have released a new photograph of the royal baby to mark Prince Harry’s first Father’s Day.

Shared on the couple’s Sussex Royal Instagram page, the touching black and white image shows baby Archie holding Harry’s hand as he peers over towards the camera.

This isn’t the first time that the royal baby – Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor – has been in the public eye, but this time we’re given a glimpse of his hair.

Because the photograph is sepia, the colour of Archie’s hair is still unknown.

The image caption reads: ‘Happy Father’s Day! And wishing a very special first Father’s Day to The Duke of Sussex.’

A royal source has confirmed that Prince Harry spent the day with his son Archie – who is now almost six weeks old – at the couple’s Windsor home.

Followers were also treated to a close-up of little Archie on US Mother’s Day in May, along with the caption: ‘Paying tribute to all mothers today – past, present, mothers-to-be, and those lost but forever remembered. We honour and celebrate each and every one of you.’

As well as featuring forget-me-nots, which were Princess Diana’s favourite flowers, the post closed with a quote by author Nayyirah Waheed: ‘My mother was my first country; the first place I ever lived.’

Joining the Duke and Duchess of Sussex in their Father’s Day celebrations was Prince William, who posted photos with his youngest son Prince Louis.

The images – shared by Kensington Palace – show the father of three spending time with baby Louis in the garden, as he plays on a swing.

Speaking about his experience of being a new father, the Duke recently said: “We’re just so thrilled to have our own little bundle of joy and be able to spend some previous times with him as he slowly, slowly starts to grow up.”

Meghan Markle added: “It’s magic, it’s pretty amazing. I have the two best guys in the world, so I’m really happy.”
