We used Snapchat’s gender-swapping filter on famous composers… and the results are terrifying

Snapchat has introduced a new filter, where you can see what your face would look like if you were the opposite sex... so we tried it out on a few classical composers.

Ever wondered what you might look like as the opposite sex? The new Snapchat filter gives women facial hair and a square jaw to look like men, and men more delicate features and long hair to look like women.

So, we thought we’d test it out on our favourite composers...

1. Puccini

   

   By night, Puccini wrote some of the most heart-wrenching arias. But by day, he went about his duties as the headmistress of a 1940s boarding school.

2. Bach

   

   Is it OK to slightly fancy Bach as a woman?

3. Haydn

   

4. Handel

   

   Handel makes a very matronly lady...

5. Beethoven

   

   Female Ludwig is a very sulky teenager.

6. Eric Whitacre

   

7. Chopin

   

   Frédéric Chopin wrote some of the most beautiful music for solo piano... and also dabbled in anime.

8. Clara Schumann

   

   Clara is significantly less doe-eyed with a hint of facial fuzz.
