Here’s a gentle harp arrangement of everyone’s favourite traditional Irish melody, Danny Boy.

‘Danny Boy’ is undeniably one of the loveliest melodies in vocal music. With words written in 1910 by Frederic Weatherly, the most popular interpretation is set to the beautiful Irish tune ‘Londonderry Air’.

There have been lots of lovely instrumental covers of the piece – but none lovelier than this one for harp, performed and arranged by Rachel Lee Hall.

Even in an instrumental version, you can’t help but sing along ‘Oh, Danny boy, the pipes the pipes are calling…’.
