This guy takes his harp into nursing homes - and it's genuinely amazing and touching

Ever doubted the raw power of music? You need to watch this.

Llywelyn Ifan Jones has been taking his harp into care and residential homes - and it's a very beautiful thing to witness.

The Welsh harpist is currently in Anglesey with the charity Live Music Now. The scheme was set up by Yehudi Menuhin, whose centenary falls today, and aims to provide communities with access to music of the highest quality.

Many of the care home residents for whom Llywelyn has been playing in North Wales would not have heard live music of professional quality for years. He has filmed some of the performances and the footage is simple and truly touching. Some residents sing along, while others are moved to tears.

He told Classic FM: "It will bring a tear to your eye to see the joy of the residents I perform for."

We say bravo to both musician and charity. Find out about other events and projects Live Music Now is offering in Menuhin's centenary year here.
