We’ve just discovered celloboxing and it’s our new favourite thing

We thought 2Cellos were pushing at all the cello-boundaries… and then we came across this guy's amazing cover of a Meghan Trainor song.
Our favourite beatboxing cellist has won a Grammy! Kevin is one-sixth of a cappella group Pentatonix – and the group took away the gong for Best Arrangement, Instrumental or A Cappella. It's fair to say he was quite excited about it…
And so were the rest of the clan…
Kevin K.O. Olusola describes himself as a cellist, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, producer and beatboxer. What he doesn’t say is that he does several of those at the same time.
He’s put his own very unique spin on tracks by Justin Bieber, Justin Timberlake and Alicia Keys – and he even filmed a pretty eye-popping version of Auld Lang Syne.
One of his most recent videos is a cover of Meghan Trainor’s 'Lips Are Movin'. Just him and his cello. Seriously.
First it’s just Kevin
Marvel at his super-human noises and challenging facial expressions.
Just while you’re marvelling at that…
He starts playing the tune on his cello. While beatboxing. We are in awe at your awesomeness, Kevin.
And he doesn’t even look like he’s trying
He’s even stuck in a weird screaming-at-the-celing dance move.
