Compose your own fugue – the game!
Benjamin Britten’s Young Person’s Guide to the Orchestra is one of the best ways to introduce children to classical music. Now, budding composers can compose their own versions of the fugue section – perfect for keeping them occupied at half-term!
As part of its centenary celebrations in 2013, the Britten-Pears Foundation released this game. Designed with children in mind, yes, but addictive fun for classical fans of all ages. But don't take our word for it, you can play right here on this page:
And if you want to explore other Britten-inspired games, go to the Britten100 website, or download the Young Person's Guide to the Orchestra app.
