Violinist Nicola Benedetti talks to Classic FM about the future of Scotland's cultural scene.

Fresh from performing at the Ryder Cup on Sunday evening (which she described as "quite an experience, an amazing atmosphere!"), violinist Nicola Benedetti told Classic FM about the cultural future of Scotland.

The 2014 Commonwealth Games are set to take place in Glasgow, and Benedetti was enthusiastic about all the attention it will bring: "For everything in Scotland the next couple of years is looking very, very exciting."

She added: "I just hope that we can use it in all the right ways, maximise the exposure and turn it into  a real longevity of focus on sport and culture."

Talking to Classic FM at the Classic BRIT Awards, Benedetti later went on to win the Female Artist award and perform John Williams' music from Schindler's List in the ceremony at the Royal Albert Hall.
