New Zealand Police go viral singing ‘Silent Night’ and other Christmas carols

Just four New Zealand police officers, harmonising with one of the most beautiful Christmas carols of the season.

A member of the New Zealand Police has filmed four uniformed officers singing Christmas carols in a stairwell at their headquarters.

Their performances of ‘Silent Night’ and ‘Winter Wonderland’, which include some lovely four-part harmonies, have been praised by Kiwi users on Facebook.

The video, which was posted on Sunday 16 December, has now attracted more than a quarter of a million views on Facebook.

“Could you wish for a more fantastic police force?” said one Facebook user.

“That stairwell has some nice acoustics to compliment the awesome singing, Happy holidays NZP,” another user wrote.

The New Zealand police force is known for its social media presence, posting road safety videos which frequently garner over 100,000 views and attract international attention.
