The Florida Orchestra recreated a hilarious triangle solo stunt from a (slightly weird) TV insurance advert – and it went down an absolute storm.
First of all, hands up who’s seen the Geico Insurance advert.
OK for those who haven’t, here it is:
The tagline is: “A triangle solo? Surprising. What’s not surprising? How much money these people saved by switching to Geico.”
So of course, the Florida Orchestra decided they would get their Principal Percussionist John Shaw on stage to recreate the stunt.
And it was awesome. He full-on took the limelight away from Grieg’s In the Hall of the Mountain King (not an easy feat in itself), and even got down on his knees, Mick Jagger-style.
Go on John!
