André Rieu sends a special message to his UK friends and fans

André Rieu, the best-loved ‘King of Waltz’, has postponed his UK and Ireland tour with the Johann Strauss Orchestra to September 2020, due to coronavirus.

André Rieu, the Dutch violinist and maestro, will now be touring Belfast, Dublin, Birmingham, London, Leeds, Nottingham, Liverpool and Glasgow in September 2020.

The tour, initially planned for April and May 2020, has been postponed due to the coronavirus outbreak.

“It is with a heavy heart that we have to postpone our UK/Ireland tour, but we are already looking forward to seeing all of you in September!” Rieu said.

“The well-being of our beloved fans, musicians and crew is always our top priority. We have worked very hard to reschedule all dates, as we cannot wait to come back to the UK/Ireland. I hope you will join us in September for a wonderful carefree evening full of music, dance and romance and would like to thank you for waiting just a little longer. Please stay safe and healthy! Much love!”

Rieu is returning to the UK and Ireland with his 60-piece Johann Strauss Orchestra, the largest private orchestra in the world, the Platin Tenors and a number of international soloists.
