What with the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee and the recent Euro 2012 football tournament, you’d be forgiven for thinking that patriotism fatigue might be settling in. But, as displayed by the London Philharmonic Orchestra, such notions are palpable nonsense.
Indeed, if anyone would be fed up such things then it would be the London Philharmonic Orchestra. And yet, fresh from recording all 205 national anthems for this summer’s games, they’ve managed to get together for last – ahem – blast.
Conducted by Gareth Newman, several members of the orchestra have played God Save the Queen using the horns of a car for an upcoming television commercial.
