Did Simon Cowell and the other Britain's Got Talent judges feel the love for this traditional choral arrangement of Elton John?

Choristers of Truro Cathedral Choir swapped wooden pews for the shiny floor of Britain’s Got Talent last Saturday (18 May).
Singers between the ages of eight and 18 donned their red gowns and white ruffle collars in front of the cameras to perform a choral arrangement of Elton John’s ‘Can You Feel The Love Tonight?’ from Disney’s 1994 animated film, The Lion King.

“Why did you decide to come on BGT”, asks a sceptical-seeming Simon Cowell ahead of the choir’s performance.
“The show’s done so much for variety and bringing it back into the mainstream, and we hope something very traditional can be part of that,” the choir’s director, Christopher Gray, explains.
“Alright. Good luck…”.
What ensues is the choir’s sublime performance of a beautiful choral arrangement of Elton John’s hit, which receives a standing ovation from all four judges – Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and David Walliams.
Truro Cathedral Choir isn't the first classical act to make a mark on a TV talent show. Jonathan and Charlotte shone on Britain's Got Talent in 2012 and here we round up the other best classical TV talent show appearances from over the years.
