John Williams, Howard Shore and Downton Abbey have all been nominated for a 2012 Golden Globe.
The nominations have been announced for next year’s Golden Globes. The awards ceremony, which will take place in Los Angeles on January 15, sees a number of nominations for Classic FM favourites, including John Williams, Howard Shore and Downton Abbey.
Celebrated film composers John Williams and Howard Shore have been nominated for Best Original Score with their work on War Horse and Hugo respectively. Other nominations in the category include Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross for The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, Abel Korzeniowski for W.E. and Ludovic Bource for The Artist.
Meanwhile, Downton Abbey has also received multiple nominations. Dame Maggie Smith has been named one of the Best Supporting Actresses in a TV Series, Hugh Bonneville has been nominated for Best Actor in a TV mini-series, while the ITV production will also fight it out for the accolade of Best TV Series.
