Having toured the world with the wildly successful Nightbook record, Einaudi now switches focuses to some new (and old) recordings.
Last time we caught up with Ludovico Einaudi, he was just about to set off on a massive tour taking in the US, Europe and Asia. It’s a hectic life indeed for someone whose music is described as minimalist and serene! Little wonder, then, that he enjoys hunkering down in the studio to compose.
Einaudi found a few moments in between sessions for his new album, The Essential Einaudi, to talk about new songs that will be appearing on it, as well as the process of re-interpreting some of his most famous numbers.
