They may be worlds (and octaves) apart, but this duet between the highest and lowest member of the clarinet family works surprisingly well.

*growl* *tweet* *growl* *tweet* This duet between a contrabass clarinet and a piccolo A-flat clarinet is not too dissimilar to a bear playing with a baby bird.

Yet, while the intriguing partnership of Cyrille Mercadier and David Gould's instruments is octaves apart, this performance of Tchaikovsky's Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy is still unusually satisfying.

Just look at that nod of mutual musical appreciation at the end. That's #goals!
