Sir Anthony Hopkins will release a new album of original classical music with Classic FM in the New Year. The record, titled Anthony Hopkins – Composer, includes brand new work and some of his previous scores from films.
The Oscar winning actor, who shot to super-stardom following his performance as serial killer Hannibal Lecter, recorded the album with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra in concert this summer. The disc contains nine pieces of music and is due for release on January 16.
We spoke to Sir Anthony before the album was released. The resulting interview is an intimate and revealing portrait of one of the UK’s finest actors.
In the second of four parts, Sir Anthony talks about his love of acting and how his interest in the art developed.
