See the beautiful moment a street piano solo becomes a spontaneous duet

Einaudi Paris duet

This street pianist played Italian composer Ludovico Einaudi's Una Mattina, and it became an unexpected moment of collective music-making.

Music is often spontaneous and unique, but last year YouTuber Aina Xicota caught an exquisite moment of piano playing, impossible to replicate if you tried.

Xicota was filming pianist Gerard Pla Daró playing on a public piano when, unbeknownst to him, another musician recognised the tune and dropped in to make it a very unexpected yet profoundly musical duet.

On YouTube the footage has been viewed over 5 million times, with one user commenting: "Two artists meet, they speak the same language - that of music."
