Jake Bugg cites Beethoven as influence

Black Sabbath, Biggie Smalls and Beethoven are among the singer-songwriter's influences - and he's a Classic FM listener too!

The 19-year-old musician is known for his wide-ranging taste in music, listening to anything from blues to rock music. But now he's revealed a love of the world's greatest music, listening to Classic FM when he's travelling around.

Speaking in MOJO, he said: "I like any kind of music, man, if it sounds good - rock, hip hop, classical… Biggie Smalls and Classic FM, man. I asked a taxi driver to put it on and he laughed at me. Really nice though - Beethoven, Vivaldi's mad violin parts, brilliant."

The past year has seen Bugg nominated for BRIT, NME, Ivor Novello and Q Awards, as well as the Mercury Prize. He picked up Best New Act at this year's Q Awards.
