The legendary soprano returns to the stage in London this autumn as a state-of-the-art hologram
This autumn the legendary soprano Maria Callas, nicknamed La Divina, returns to the stage for a one-off concert in London. But Maria Callas died in 1977.
For this concert at the London Coliseum on 25 November she’ll be appearing as a state-of-the-art hologram accompanied by a live orchestra.
The hologram of the famous singer will perform some of the arias she was best known for, including ‘Casta Diva’ from Bellini’s Norma, ‘O mio babbino caro’ from Puccini’s Gianni Schicci and the Habanera from Bizet’s Carmen.

The performance will mark 45 years since Callas’ final London concert, a farewell performance at the Royal Festival Hall in 1973.
Marty Tudor of BASE Hologram Productions said: “Audiences are looking for that unique hook to get them out of their homes and into communal experiences. This production does that in an innovative, creative and immersive way.”
Tickets go on sale on Friday 25 May here.
