Why does this pencil sound like 'In The Hall of the Mountain King'?

This is what 'In the Hall of the Mountain King' sounds like spelt out in the runic alphabet. Wait, what?

Strangely enough, it's not as complicated as it sounds, although we suspect this must have taken ages to work out!

The Flute Channel discovered that writing out a very particular phrase in the runic alphabet using a scratchy pencil has the exact same rhythm as Grieg's 'In the Hall of the Mountain King'.

As mad as it sounds, it actually works
