Autotune, making pop stars (and now cats) sound technically correct, since 1998.

Photographer and animator Joaquin Baldwin has a particularly vocal cat. Maddened by his moggie's persistent morning meowings, Baldwin decided to film it all and run it through auto-tune software, creating new pitches for his cat's vocalisations.

"I don't know how this helps but I did it anyway", he said.

The resulting video has since gone viral on Twitter, with over 3.5 million views. And we enjoyed it a lot.

Auto-Tune is a piece of software which can correct tones when they are sung or played out of tune, or it can be used for a particular audio effect. It's often used in live performances and in the studio – or in this case, around the house punctuated by purring.
