In 2009 the German pianist Lars Vogt joined forces with the Salzburg Mozarteum Orchestra for a series of concerts, performing Mozart's late piano concertos. Two of these performances are available on CD - giving you the chance to hear Nos. 20 and 23.
Vogt is a pianist of international standing: he was appointed the first ever Pianist in Residence with the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra; he regularly performs around the world with such orchestras as the Vienna Phil, the Chamber Orchestra of Europe and the LSO ; and he's extremely in demand as a chamber musician.
British conductor Ivor Bolton leads the Salzburg Mozarteum Orchestra, an ensemble founded in 1841 and widely regarded as one of Austria's leading symphony orchestras. Bolton has been their principal conductor since 2004.
