The Full Works Concert - Wednesday 6 August, 8pm
Classic FM Hall of Fame favourites played in full tonight from Vaughan Williams, Mozart, Karl Jenkins and Rimsky-Korsakov.
Jane Jones has packed tonight's Full Works Concert with favourites, beginning with Mozart’s Clarinet Concerto, followed by Vaughan Williams’s Fantasia on a Theme by Thomas Tallis, and string quartet variations on one of the most popular contemporary pieces – Adiemus by Karl Jenkins.
Rimsky-Korsakov’s Scheherazade finishes the concert, one of the most colourful, evocative and descriptive scores in all classical music, guaranteed to capture the imagination of everyone who hears it, young or old.
