Tonight, in an exclusive Full Works Concert to coincide with Sir Antonio Pappano and the Orchestra of the Academy of Santa Cecilia’s new film and UK tour, Jane Jones features fantastic performances by the orchestra recorded in Rome at their home, the Auditorium Parco della Musica.
The Academy was established 106 years ago and its impressive heritage includes collaborations with many distinguished conductors and composers including Gustav Mahler, Herbert von Karajan, Giuseppe Sinopoli and Leonard Bernstein.
Sir Antonio Pappano, known primarily in the UK for his role as Music Director of the Royal Opera House, is also now in his eighth year as the Music Director of this superb Roman orchestra.
