Life of fisherman Mario changes dramatically when the famous Chilean writer Pablo Neruda settles on his little Italian island. Neruda needs a postman to deliver the huge quantities of fan mail and the job is filled by the young Mario. The two become close friends when the awkward Mario turns to Neruda to help him win the heart of Beatrice, the local femme fatale.


Composer: The Argentinian composer Luis Bacalov has worked on over a hundred film scores including Kill Bill Vol I and II, Sea of Dreams and The Dust Factory. He won an Academy Award for in 1994 for his score for Il Postino.
