Watch this violinist absolutely nail the Mario theme (AND all the sound effects)

Everyone loves Koji Kondo’s iconic Mario Brothers theme, but have you ever heard it played on solo violin, complete with sound effects?

Well this enterprising violinist has donned his concert whites for an impressive display of synching his playing with the game itself.

We see the titular pixellated Italian plumber negotiate all the usual obstacles (platforms, question boxes, impish baddies), but the violinist has studiously recreated the sound effects for each using only his trusty fiddle.
