CD of the week: Fringes of the Fleet - Edward Elgar

Rarely-heard, triumphant English music from the 20th century, this week on Classic FM, we’re giving you the chance to discover some fine, patriotic orchestral works with this, our CD of the Week.

Fringes of the Fleet contains music by Elgar, as well as works by such composers as John Ansell, Haydn Wood and Edward German. 

The performances come from the Guildford Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Tom Higgins.
