This tiny kid nailing one of Chopin’s most fiendish solo piano compositions will make you question what you were doing with your life when you were 11.
Simonas Miknius, a young pianist from Lithuania, plays Chopin with the emotion and precision of a player twice his age.
A video has recently been flying around of him playing the Fantaisie-Impromptu in C sharp minor – and it’s just incredible.
Just look at his fingers fly up and down that Bösendorfer piano:
Although it is now one of Chopin’s most popular works, the Fantaisie-Impromptu was never meant to be published.
The Romantic composer didn’t want any of his unpublished manuscripts to be in the public domain, but the decision was made to publish this solo piano work after his early death in 1849.
