Sheila Blanco’s social media homages have been outrageously popular – and we can see why.

Sheila Blanco, a vocalist and journalist living in Madrid, has become a social media star with a series of pitch-perfect vocal tributes to great composers.

In January, Blanco penned a few words in homage to the timeless artistry of Baroque composer Johann Sebastian Bach, setting it to the music of the 'Badinerie' from his Orchestral Suite No. 2. The nimble, jazzy and irresistible performance promptly went viral on Facebook and Twitter, garnering over 6 million views.

Her words tell of the universal appeal, spiritual depth and timeless legacy of the great composer. Her lyrics conclude with the lines "His eighth and sixteenth notes are the story of our humanity... if there was ever a God, it was Johann Sebastian Bach".

Since her Baroque success, Blanco recorded a tribute to Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, set to the composer's Rondo alla Turca.
