Harry Christophers and The Sixteen have announced their 2012/13 season, which will see them perform in over 65 concerts around the country.
A concert in the Queen's Gallery at Buckingham Palace and a return to Hatfield House are just some of the more interesting concerts planned for vocal ensemble The Sixteen and their founder, Harry Christophers, in their 2012/13 season.
They will also be going on tour, The Choral Pilgrimage 2013: 'The Queen Of Heaven', in 2013. Performances on this tour will include Allegri's Miserere and music by Palestrina and MacMillan. Tickets go on sale in January 2013.
A new recording of Handel's Saul will also be released in September on the Coro label. Christopher Purves will be in the title role, while Sarah Connolly will appear as David (traditionally a counter-tenor role).
Other concerts across 2013 will see the ensemble performing Monteverdi's Selva morale e spiritual at Wigmore Hall and Brahms' Requiem in Vienna and London.
