The Full Works Concert - Friday 21 November 2014

Tchaikovsky's Pathetique is the highpoint of tonight's latest LA Phil Friday concert.

Catherine Bott presents the fourth of five LA Phil Fridays – exclusive live performances from Classic FM’s Orchestra in America, the Los Angeles Philharmonic.

Tonight’s concert opens with Nielsen’s Maskarade Overture, followed by Beethoven’s third Piano Concerto performed by Leif Ove Andsnes with the charismatic Gustavo Dudamel on the podium.

The centrepiece is Tchaikovsky’s 'Pathétique' symphony, conducted by Marin Alsop.
