The Classic FM Chart - 26 January 2014
Daniel Barenboim and the Vienna Philharmonic gallop into the chart at No.3 with the 2014 New Year's Concert.
There are a lot of new albums in the Chart this week, with the highest entry coming from Daniel Barenboim and the Vienna Philharmonic with the 2014 New Year's Concert.
Two choral albums are also new entries - Russian Treasures from Tenabrae and Nigel Short, and the Pergolesi Stabat Mater Laudate by Philippe Jaroussky.
Elsewhere, there are re-entries for classical music's leading ladies - Hayley Westenra, Katherine Jenkins and Nicola Benedetti, and for Hans Zimmer's soundtrack to Pirates of the Caribbean - On Stranger Tides. Colin Davis' recording with the LSO of Holst's The Planets also makes a re-appearance.
