Monday 31 March 2014, 8pm-10pm
For the first Full Works Concert in our special Sir Neville Marriner at 90 week on Classic FM, Jane Jones features an exclusive broadcast of a concert by the orchestra he founded, the Academy of St. Martin in the Fields.
Recorded in January at London’s Cadogan Hall, this concert sees the orchestra’s current Music Director, the virtuoso violinist Joshua Bell, lead the orchestra in Bach and Beethoven.
There’s also a chance to hear a beautiful recording of Tchaikovsky’s Serenade for Strings, made by Sir Neville Marriner with the Academy in 1969.
