Catherine Bott received a tweet recently requesting some music played on the cor anglais, which led her to ponder, "What are the other interesting wind instruments to discover?"

So tonight, in addition to the cor anglais – with a performance of Manuel de Falla’s Ritual Fire Dance – Catherine has uncovered some lyrical oboe music from Richard Strauss, a beautiful romance for bassoon by Elgar, Mozart’s tranquil clarinet quintet, a famous work for flute by Bach and an utterly mesmerizing piece for saxophone.
