Calm Classics with Myleene Klass 9pm - 1am
This Sunday evening, David takes his pick from an extraordinary boxed set that was released at the end of last year.
Entitled RCA Living Stereo, it contains 60 CDs of recordings made in America during the 1950s and 60s – a golden era for classical music, when artists like Jascha Heifetz and Fritz Reiner were wowing audiences across the globe. There’ll be all sorts of historic highlights tonight, including a not-to-be-missed complete performance of the Glazunov Violin Concerto, featuring Heifetz himself.
