David Mellor - Sunday 9 August 2015, 7pm

David Mellor plays the perfect music to accompany a summery Sunday evening.

David is celebrating the best of summer listening this evening, choosing some of the most appropriate music to accompany a lovely August evening.

Inspired by some of your own requests, David has music by master mandolin player Avi Avital, playing Vivaldi's The Four Seasons and a gondolier's song.

There's a trip to the Hebrides (pictured) in the company of Felix Mendelssohn as well as Vaughan Williams's Serenade to Music, Satie's Gymnopedies, Benjamin Britten's arrangement of The Last Rose of Summer, Aaron Copland's Rodeo, some sunny guitar pieces by Tarrega and Beethoven's evergreen Pastoral Symphony.
