Saturday Night at the Movies: Saturday 9 November

Tonight Howard Goodall enjoys the movie music of John Wilson and his Orchestra.

Over the last few years, John Wilson and his Orchestra have thrilled audiences with their concerts and recordings of melodies from Hollywood's golden age – and this coming Monday, Warner Classics releases an album called The John Wilson Orchestra at the Movies: The Bonus Tracks.  

It contains the additional music they made for each of their chart-topping releases – and tonight, Howard features a selection of tracks from the album, alongside highlights from the Orchestra's previous releases: MGM That's Entertainment and Rodgers and Hammerstein at the Movies.
