The Classic FM Hall of Fame Hour with Tim Lihoreau 9am - 10am
Tonight, Howard Goodall selects a range of soundtracks composed for the small screen.
As a composer of all sorts of famous TV theme tunes - The Vicar of Dibley, QI, Blackadder, Mr Bean (pictured) - Howard Goodall certainly knows a thing or two about how to write great music for the medium and he'll be picking out all sorts of fine examples of his contemporaries' work.
The highlights include Michael Giacchino's brilliant score for the hit TV show Lost, Michael Kamen's soundtrack for Band of Brothers, and the music Debbie Wiseman composed for The Promise.
Howard will also be shedding light on the process of penning music for television, promising to give a fascinating insight into how composers approach this task.
