Howard Goodall features classical music that has been featured on the big screen.

Tonight, Howard Goodall features classical music put to use, and in some cases made more famous, in the movies.

There's a sublime piece of Mozart as heard in The Shawkshank Redemption and an early appearance of classical music - Boccherini to be precise - in the classic Ealing Comedy, The Ladykillers starring Alec Guinness (pictured).

And who can forget Saint-Saens' Organ Symphony triumphant in Babe and Mascagni's Intermezzo from Cavalleria Rusticana in Raging Bull.
