Last week, The Sixteen rocketed to the top of the Classic FM Chart with their recording of Monteverdi's Vespers of 1610. This week, they've held on to the No.1.

The highest new entry at No.9 this week features two major British oboe concertos, played by Nicholas Daniel with the Britten Sinfonia. Composer James MacMillan conducts the world premiere recording of his own concerto – dedicated to Nicholas Daniel – as well as his 2012 composition 'One' and the Britten 'Suite on English Folk Tunes: A Time There Was'. The oboist himself directs the Ralph Vaughan Williams concerto, the work with which he won the Young Musician of the Year Competition at the age of 18.
