The drummer for Scottish rock band Teenage Fanclub has this week's highest new entry.
The highest new entry in the Classic FM Chart this week is at No.16 - and it's a classical debut for Francis Macdonald, best-known as the drummer for Scottish alternative rock band Teenage Fanclub. But he's making waves in the classical world with his sublime, minimalist classical music - as heard on his album Music for String Quartet, Piano & Celeste. Macdonald has no formal training but he composes, arranges and orchestrates everything himself, saying he wants to "be responsible for every note."
Classic FM's latest Album of the Week, Mozart and Vieuxtemps Violin Concertos played by Hilary Hahn also enters the chart this week, at No.25.
