Here’s your chance to see a sparkling production of ‘Cinderella’ at London’s Royal Albert Hall, this June.
From Thursday 6 to Sunday 16 June, English National Ballet will perform a new in-the-round version of Cinderella, at the Royal Albert Hall.
Staged by Tony Award winner Christopher Wheeldon (An American in Paris), the sparkling new production features over 90 dancers and combines magnificent sets and costumes, theatrical surprises and a live orchestra.
Enter an enchanting kingdom where forest creatures live alongside princes, a growing tree appears to dance in the wind, and Cinderella’s wit and generosity get her to the ball – with the help of a little bit of magic.
Lucy Noble, Artistic and Commercial Director for the Royal Albert Hall, said: “Nothing can compare to the epic spectacle of a ballet at the Royal Albert Hall, and this extraordinary re-staging of Cinderella will bring the immortal story to life on a grand scale.”
Wheeldon originally created Cinderella to great acclaim for Dutch National Ballet and San Francisco Ballet: he and his collaborators now adapt it for English National Ballet and the grand space of the Royal Albert Hall.
