Tonight, Jane Jones turns her attention to that master of melody, Tchaikovsky. We’ll hear a complete performance of the Symphony No.5 from the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Valery Gergiev, alongside all of the Piano Concerto No.2, played at lightning speed by Emil Gilels. Plus – highlights from Swan Lake and a beautiful yet rarely heard Tchaikovsky choral miniature.
