It's Maxim Vengerov's 40th birthday today. Jane Jones celebrates the music of this superb violinist with some exclusive recordings.
One of the greatest violinists of our time, Maxim Vengerov turns 40 today. Jane Jones marks the auspicious event by dedicating the Full Works Concert to his recordings and those of his friends and colleagues.
And there are some exclusives in store - you’ll hear the very latest from the recording studio where Vengerov has been recording Brahms’s Violin Concerto, which will be released on his record label VMV (Vengerov Music Vision), due to launch next year. And we join the party to hear from the birthday concert in his honour taking place in Switzerland.
