David Mellor turns the spotlight on the genius of Argentinian pianist Martha Argerich.

Tonight David Mellor devotes his show to the brilliant pianist Martha Argerich. Her aversion to the press and publicity has resulted in her remaining out of the limelight for most of her career. Nevertheless she is widely recognized as one of the greatest pianists of our time.

Argerich has used her annual festival and her membership of competition juries to promote young pianists. At her annual Lugano Festival in Switzerland she plays host to some of the finest classical talent every year. In addition, she is president of the International Piano Academy Lake Como and General Director of the Argerich Music Festival and Encounter in Beppu, Japan.

David has an unmissable selection of performances, all recorded live in concert.
