David celebrates the music and stories that are synonymous with the season.

Tonight David is taking the opportunity to feature some of the best-loved orchestral works that go hand in hand with the Christmas season, such as that of Humperdinck’s opera Hansel and Gretel and Tchaikovsky’s ballet The Nutcracker (pictured).

David’s selections are not just limited to orchestral works, however: there’s a chance to hear Mediaeval carols such as The Boars Head, and – what Christmas would be complete without something from Handel’s Messiah?
