Ahead of the anniversary of the death of John Barry a little later this month, Howard Goodall pays tribute to this son of a Yorkshireman who went on to become one of Hollywood’s most in-demand film composers.
We’ll be hearing plenty of his Bond soundtracks, alongside the music he wrote for Born Free, Out of Africa and Dances with Wolves.
