On this week's show, to mark the 58th birthday today of one of the film industry’s most prolific and influential composers, Hans Zimmer, Andrew Collins is devoting two hours to his film scores.
From Zimmer’s Oscar-winning music for The Lion King along with other popular animations such as Kung Fu Panda and Madagascar, to his long-standing collaborations with directors Christopher Nolan – Inception, the Dark Knight trilogy, Interstellar – and Ron Howard – Rush, The Da Vinci Code, Frost/Nixon- this is a celebration of Hans Zimmer's vast and varied work.
