Aled returns to No.1 but there's strong competition from Nicola Benedetti.
Last week Game of Thrones toppled Aled Jones from the No.1 spot in the Classic FM Chart. But inspired by his national football team, the intrepid Welshman is back to the top of the league table. But this week there's a high new entry from Nicola Benedetti, playing the violin concertos of Shostakovich and Glazunov. She goes straight into the Chart at No.2.
There are also new entries this week for the latest volume in Hyperion's Romantic Piano Concerto series – new at 12 – and the LSO joined by vocal group Tenebrae with a new live recording of Fauré's Requiem at 13.
